The Idora Wildcats Senior Support Team is an initiative developed by the Wildcats 4-H Club to assist neighborhood seniors with low-cost lawn care and maintenance needs.

 

Overview

The Idora Wildcats Senior Support Team is a youth program that seeks to support our neighborhood seniors with needed low-cost lawn maintenance, gardening and other misc. help. The work will be used to teach the youth basic skills and help strengthen community ties across generations.

Qualifying Homes

Senior citizens ages 65+ in Idora Neighborhood will be considered for assistance through the Idora Wildcats Senior Support Team (IWSST). Preference will be given for seniors who do not have the financial or physical means to conduct the needed maintenance themselves. All members of household must be 65+ or disabled and unable to perform the work themselves. Rental properties will not qualify for this program, homeowners only. Ownership may be verified by City Auditors site.

Program fee of $10.00 is required to be paid in advance for all work done. Program fee covers expenses for the IWSST. Donations are also appreciated beyond the $10 program fee. All donations will be used to support the Idora Wildcats 4-H club. Donations do not have to be monetary, but can include a donation of snacks, tools, craft supplies or any other means which can help support our 4-H youth program.  All donations are tax deductible.  Idora Wildcats 4-H club is a 501(C)3 non-profit organization.  IWSST reserves the right to update the IWSST program at any time.
